Well, I've been waiting since 2015, but Samsung has finally done it. They're planning to release their first foldable phone on April 26th of this year (2019).
The price is high, but the specs might make it worth it.
Price: $1,980 U.S. Dollars
Processor: 7nm
Screen size: 7.3' Infinity Flex Display
Storage Capacity: 512 GB
Cover Camera Resolution: 10MP Selfie Camera F2.2
Front Camera Resolution: 10MP Selfie Camera, F2.2, 8MP RGB Depth Camera, F1.9
Rear Camera Resolution: 6MP Ultra Wide Camera, F2.2, 12MP Wide-angle Camera, Dual Pixel AF, OIS, F1.5/F2.4, 12MP Telephoto Camera, PDAF, OIS, F2.4, 2X optical zoom
Now is this worth it? For the price-maybe. Yes, it is a new big step in technology as it's a phone, AND a tablet, able to hold up to about 3 apps open at a time, but it's also going to be the first of it's kind and may have many problems, may break easily, malfunction, anything. We don't know what to expect with this because it's never launched before. Being Samsung I expect greatness from this, but probably won't buy the first model of this type of phone. If you do end up buying the first model, you might want to get it ensured instead of just a warranty-just in case. But I feel this will be an interesting step in the future of technology. For more explanation than I can give, you can visit Samsung's site on the Galaxy Fold right here and see more about it.
